Follicular - Build & Bloom: This blend of herbs is specifically designed to support the Follicular phase of your cycle. The Follicular phase (in Chinese Medicine the Yin Phase) starts during your bleed and lasts until ovulation, generally lasting about 14-18 days total.  

 

Drink Build & Bloom: start this tea around day 4 of your cycle (the first day you bleed is considered day 1).  Once your bleeding has slowed, cramps have eased, and your energy is more even keel - this is the tea for you.  Continue drinking through approximately day 10, switching to the ovulation tea around day 11, several days before you typically ovulate. 

Ovulation symptoms to look for: 

- Egg white stretchy discharge

- Discomfort, heaviness, cramping

- Elevated basal body temperature (BBT)

- Increased sex drive

- Ovulation Predictor Kits will show a positive LH surge about 24-36 hours before ovulation

 

Drink ALL month long if you have:

- Anovulatory cycles, or if you ovulate very early on in your cycle

- Diminished ovarian reserve (low AMH, high FSH)

- Thin uterine lining

- Very light and thin period blood flow 

- Amenorrhea

 

Do NOT drink all month long: if your tendency is towards Yin excess, which would look like:

- A tendency towards developing cysts or fibroids

- Very clotty flow

- PCOS

- Cold feeling in abdomen/uterus 

 

Chinese Medicine View: during the Follicular/Yin phase, the focus is on building the Blood & Yin (blood & tissue in uterine lining/egg quality) to replenish the body after the shedding.  The Build & Bloom tea is a very tonifying and nourishing blend that helps the body build back up after a somewhat depleting phase.

 

Western View: the dominant follicle starts to mature, as does the egg inside of it.  The dominant follicle starts to produce estrogen, which stimulates the re-building of the uterine lining. The Build & Bloom is rich with minerals, vitamins, and iron in order to help your body replenish.  This way, we maximize nutrient delivery to the dominant follicle and its respective egg & encourage the thickening of the uterine lining.

    Energizing and Balancing

    Like another review said, this tea is a game changer for post-period fatigue levels! I used to feel very tired after my cycle was over, but this tea has helped me bounce back quickly and get rebalanced.

    Fatigue Game Changer

    I used to get super fatigued after my period and experience lots of brain fog, making it hard to get work done and get my workouts in. Now, I drink this tea during the second half of my period and through the week after, and it makes such a difference. I find myself reaching for less afternoon coffee, and my body just feels more grounded and balanced.
