High fructose corn syrup has a bad rep for a reason and has gone incognito! HFCS is hiding in your foods under the titles "fructose" or "fructose syrup." So double check your foods, and make sure to avoid this eating HFCS foods, as they are linked with weight gain, type 2 diabetes, and an increased risk of heart disease!
My best suggestion to you is to eat whole foods as often as possible! Fruits, veggies, high quality meat protein, nuts, seeds, the options are endless! If you'd like to sweeten your foods, your best options are honey and maple syrup, as these are both directly from nature and have added health benefits. Stevia is also a good option! Take care of your bodies, friends! It pays off!
